text-align: left !important;"><span class="tt" style="display: block; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 4px;">আপওয়ার্কের টপ রেটেড ফ্রিল্যান্সার ফাহিমুল করিম।</span></span>ফাহিমুলের জীবন ও সংগ্রামের গল্পটা তাঁর কাছ থেকেই শোনা যাক। ফাহিমুল বলেন, ‘২০১২ সালের কথা। আমি তখন অষ্টম শ্রেণির ছাত্র। জেএসসি পরীক্ষার ঠিক দুই–তিন দিন আগে আমার চলাফেরার ক্ষমতা হারিয়ে যায়। রোগটা ছোটবেলা থেকেই ছিল। ডাক্তার বলেছিলেন, একসময় এমন হবে। আস্তে আস্তে শরীর একদম শুকিয়ে যাবে। শক্তি হারিয়ে যাবে। এমনকি হয়তো ১৮ থেকে ২০ বছর পর্যন্ত বেঁচে থাকব। এই অবস্থাতেই জেএসসি পরীক্ষা দিই। ভালো রেজাল্টও করি। কিন্তু দুর্ভাগ্যবশত নবম শ্রেণিতে আমার আর ভর্তি হওয়া হয় না। সেখানেই আমার পড়ালেখার ইতি ঘটে। ছোটবেলা থেকেই আমার নতুন বিষয় শেখার ব্যাপারে খুব আগ্রহ ছিল। সেটা বই পড়ে হোক, কারও কাছ থেকে হোক বা টেলিভিশন দেখেই হোক। নবম শ্রেণিতে ভর্তি না হলেও বিজ্ঞান বিভাগের বইগুলো বাসায় এনে দিয়েছিলেন আম্মু। সেগুলো নিজে নিজে পড়তাম। একসময় আমি ছোট বাচ্চাদের প্রাইভেট পড়ানো শুরু করলাম। সবাই আমার বাসায় এসে পড়ত।’</div><div style="background-color: white; padding: 0px;">প্রাইভেট পড়িয়ে ফাহিমুলের কিছু টাকা জমে। বাসা থেকে আর কিছু টাকা নিয়ে ২০১৪ সালের শেষ দিকে একটা অ্যান্ড্রয়েড ফোন কেনেন তিনি। ইন্টারনেটে সংযুক্ত হন। তারপর ধরে ধীরে গুগল, ইউটিউব সম্পর্কে জানতে পারেন তিনি। ২০১৫ সালের মাঝামাঝি ফেসবুকের একটা পেজে ইন্টারনেটে আয় করা সম্পর্কে জানতে পারেন ফাহিমুল। তিনি প্রথমে জেনেছিলেন টি-স্প্রিং সম্পর্কে। ভেবেছিলেন মোবাইল দিয়েই কাজ করা যাবে। কয়েক দিনের চেষ্টায় ব্যর্থ হন। একটা কম্পিউটারের প্রয়োজনীয়তা খুব করে অনুভব করেন। বাসায় বলেন। কিন্তু বোঝাতে পারেননি। তা ছাড়া অর্থেরও সংকট ছিল।</div><div style="background-color: white; padding: 0px;">হাল ছাড়েননি ফাহিমুল। তিনি বলেন, ‘পরে একটা গ্রুপে যুক্ত হলাম। নাম ছিল ওডেস্ক বাংলাদেশ (বর্তমানে আপওয়ার্ক বাংলাদেশ)। ওখানে দেখতাম, সবাই অনলাইনে কাজ নিয়ে কথা বলত। আমি সবার পোস্ট, কমেন্ট নিয়মিত পড়তাম। সেখানেরই একটা পোস্ট থেকে ওয়েব ডিজাইনের কথা জানতে পারি। ওখানে কিছু লিংক দেওয়া ছিল। আমি সেগুলো ডাউনলোড করে পড়ে পড়ে এইচটিএমএলটা প্রায় শিখে ফেলি। কিন্তু কিছুদিন পর অধৈর্য লাগছিল। ভাবলাম, এভাবেও সম্ভব না। আমাকে নির্দিষ্ট কোনো কাজ শিখতে হবে। কাজ শিখতে চাই বলে গ্রুপে পোস্ট দিই। গ্রুপের একজন অ্যাডমিন আমার এলাকার একজনের সঙ্গে পরিচয় করিয়ে দেন। তিনি কিছুদিন পর আমার বাসায় এসে আমাকে কাজ সম্পর্কে সঠিক ধারণা দেন। গ্রাফিকস ডিজাইন সম্পর্কেও ধারণা দেন। কিন্তু তখনো আমার কম্পিউটার ছিল না৷’</div><div style="background-color: white; padding: 0px;">পরিচিতদের উদ্যোগ, মায়ের জমানো টাকা ও ব্যাংক থেকে ঋণ দিয়ে ২০১৬ সালের নভেম্বরে একটা ল্যাপটপ কেনেন ফাহিমুল। ল্যাপটপ ব্যবহার আয়ত্তে এলেও নিয়মিত ইন্টারনেট ব্যবহারের আর্থিক সামর্থ্য ছিল না তাঁর। একটা ডিভিডি কিনে গ্রাফিকস ডিজাইন শেখা শুরু করেন তিনি। তারপর নিয়মিত চর্চা। শুরুতে শেখেন ফটোশপ। অন্য দরকারি বিষয়গুলো ইউটিউব দেখে শিখতে থাকেন তিনি। কম টাকায় ইন্টারনেটের অফার পেলে ফ্রিল্যান্স টিউটোরিয়ালের ভিডিও ডাউনলোড করতেন তিনি। শুরুতে বিজনেস কার্ড ও ব্যানার তৈরি শেখেন। এরপর অনলাইন মার্কেটপ্লেস ফাইভার সম্পর্কে জানেন।</div><div style="background-color: white; display: block; float: left; height: 229px; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; min-width: auto !important; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; width: auto !important;" /></span>ফাহিমুল বলেন, ‘ফেসবুকে সার্চ করে ফাইভার হেল্প বাংলাদেশ গ্রুপের খোঁজ পাই। গ্রুপের ডকুমেন্টগুলো পড়ে ২০১৭ সালের ফেব্রুয়ারিতে ফাইভারে গিগ (ফাইভারে প্রতিটি সার্ভিসের অফারকে গিগ বলে) খুলি। গিগ খোলার অল্প দিনের মধ্যেই কাজ পেয়ে যাই। ভাবতেও পারিনি, এত দ্রুত কাজ পেয়ে যাব। আমি কয়েক ঘণ্টার মধ্যেই কাজটা শেষ করি। বায়ার খুশি হয়ে আমাকে ৫ স্টার রিভিউসহ বোনাস দেন। আমার প্রথম উপার্জন ছিল ১৫ মার্কিন ডলার।’</div><div style="background-color: white; padding: 0px;">তারপর ফাহিমুলকে আর ফিরে তাকাতে হয়নি। এক মাসেই তিনি লেভেল ওয়ান সেলার হয়ে যান। তখন প্রচুর কাজ আসতে থাকে। তিনি বলেন, ‘এমনও হয়েছে, কাজের জন্য আমি খাওয়ার সময় পেতাম না। আম্মু হাতে করে খাইয়ে দিয়েছে, আর আমি কাজ করেছি।’</div><div style="background-color: white; padding: 0px;">প্রথম তিন মাসের মধ্যে ফাহিমুল লেভেল টু সেলার হয়ে যান। তাঁর উপার্জন বাংলাদেশি টাকায় প্রায় ৪০ হাজার হয়ে গিয়েছিল। ২০১৭ সালের এপ্রিলে তাঁর বাবার চাকরি চলে যায়। তখনই তিনি প্রথম কাজের টাকা তুলতে পারেন। শুরুতে ৩৭ হাজার টাকা তোলেন। ২০১৭ সালে মাঝামাঝি আপওয়ার্কে অ্যাকাউন্ট খোলেন ফাহিমুল। কয়েক দিন চেষ্টার পর অ্যাকাউন্ট অনুমোদন পায়। আগের অভিজ্ঞতা কাজে লাগিয়ে আপওয়ার্কে দ্রুত কাজ পেয়ে যান। তিন মাসেই আপওয়ার্কের টপ লেভেলের ব্যাজ পেয়ে যান তিনি। এখনো ফাইভারে লেভেল টু ও আপওয়ার্কে টপ রেটেড ব্যাজ ধরে রেখেছেন তিনি। গত দুই বছরে সাড়ে চার শর বেশি প্রজেক্টে কাজ করেছেন ফাহিমুল।</div><div style="background-color: white; padding: 0px;">ফাহিমুলের বাবা রেজাউল করিম জানান, তাঁর ছেলের রোগের বিষয়টি প্রথম ধরা পড়ে ২০০৬ সালে। দেশে বেশ জায়গায় চিকিৎসা করানোর পর ২০০৮ সালে ফাহিমুলকে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয় ভারতের কলকাতায়। সেখানে একটি বেসরকারি হাসপাতালের চিকিৎসকেরা জানান, ফাহিমুল ডুচেনেমাসকিউলার ডিস্থ্রফিতে আক্রান্ত। ধীরে ধীরে তাঁর পেশি দুর্বল হয়ে যাবে। বংশগত রোগটির কোনো স্থায়ী চিকিৎসা নেই। বয়স বাড়ার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে সমস্যা জটিল হতে পারে। সেখান থেকে ফিজিওথেরাপির পরামর্শ ও পুনরায় চিকিৎসার জন্য যেতে বলা হয়। ফাহিমুল অচল হয়ে পড়লে আর্থিক সংকটের কারণে আর ভারতে যাওয়া সম্ভব হয়নি। <br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">ছোটবেলায় সাইকেল চালাতেন ফাহিমুল। বন্ধুদের সঙ্গে ক্রিকেট খেলতেন। পড়ালেখাতেও ছিলেন মেধাবী। অষ্টম শ্রেণি পর্যন্ত সব ঠিকঠাক ছিল। ২০১২ সালের শেষ দিকে জেএসসি পরীক্ষার ঠিক আগে বিছানায় পড়ে যান। ধীরে ধীরে তাঁর পেশি শুকিয়ে যেতে থাকে। তারপর একেবারেই অকেজো হয়ে যায় হাত-পা থেকে শুরু করে পুরো শরীর। মাগুরা সরকারি উচ্চবিদ্যালয়ে পড়তেন ফাহিমুল। রোগে পড়ে একপর্যায়ে এই মেধাবী শিক্ষার্থীর পড়ালেখা বন্ধ হয়ে যায়।</div><div style="background-color: white; font-size: 18px; line-height: 30px; margin-bottom: 16px; outline: 0px; overflow-wrap: break-word; overflow: hidden; padding: 0px;">জটিল রোগে আক্রান্ত হওয়ার পর ফাহিমুলের জীবন অনেকটা ‘বিছানাবন্দী’ হয়ে যায়। দৈনন্দিন কাজের জন্য তাঁকে অন্যের ওপর নির্ভর করতে হয়। ফাহিমুলের স্বপ্নটা সেখানেই স্থবির হয়ে যেতে পারত। কিন্তু দৃঢ় মনোবল তাঁকে ঘুরে দাঁড়াতে সহায়তা করেছে। এই তরুণ বিশ্বাস করেন, শারীরিক অক্ষমতা মানেই সবকিছু থেমে থাকা নয়। মনের জোরে জেগে ওঠেন তিনি। একপর্যায়ে অনলাইন মার্কেটপ্লেসে কাজ শুরু করেন। এখন আপওয়ার্কে প্রতি ঘণ্টায় তাঁর রেট ৮ ডলার, বাংলাদেশি মুদ্রায় ৬৭০ টাকা।</div><div style="background-color: white; text-align: left !important;"><span class="tt" style="display: block; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 4px;">আপওয়ার্কের টপ রেটেড ফ্রিল্যান্সার ফাহিমুল করিম।</span></span>ফাহিমুলের জীবন ও সংগ্রামের গল্পটা তাঁর কাছ থেকেই শোনা যাক। ফাহিমুল বলেন, ‘২০১২ সালের কথা। আমি তখন অষ্টম শ্রেণির ছাত্র। জেএসসি পরীক্ষার ঠিক দুই–তিন দিন আগে আমার চলাফেরার ক্ষমতা হারিয়ে যায়। রোগটা ছোটবেলা থেকেই ছিল। ডাক্তার বলেছিলেন, একসময় এমন হবে। আস্তে আস্তে শরীর একদম শুকিয়ে যাবে। শক্তি হারিয়ে যাবে। এমনকি হয়তো ১৮ থেকে ২০ বছর পর্যন্ত বেঁচে থাকব। এই অবস্থাতেই জেএসসি পরীক্ষা দিই। ভালো রেজাল্টও করি। কিন্তু দুর্ভাগ্যবশত নবম শ্রেণিতে আমার আর ভর্তি হওয়া হয় না। সেখানেই আমার পড়ালেখার ইতি ঘটে। ছোটবেলা থেকেই আমার নতুন বিষয় শেখার ব্যাপারে খুব আগ্রহ ছিল। সেটা বই পড়ে হোক, কারও কাছ থেকে হোক বা টেলিভিশন দেখেই হোক। নবম শ্রেণিতে ভর্তি না হলেও বিজ্ঞান বিভাগের বইগুলো বাসায় এনে দিয়েছিলেন আম্মু। সেগুলো নিজে নিজে পড়তাম। একসময় আমি ছোট বাচ্চাদের প্রাইভেট পড়ানো শুরু করলাম। সবাই আমার বাসায় এসে পড়ত।’</div><div style="background-color: white; padding: 0px;">প্রাইভেট পড়িয়ে ফাহিমুলের কিছু টাকা জমে। বাসা থেকে আর কিছু টাকা নিয়ে ২০১৪ সালের শেষ দিকে একটা অ্যান্ড্রয়েড ফোন কেনেন তিনি। ইন্টারনেটে সংযুক্ত হন। তারপর ধরে ধীরে গুগল, ইউটিউব সম্পর্কে জানতে পারেন তিনি। ২০১৫ সালের মাঝামাঝি ফেসবুকের একটা পেজে ইন্টারনেটে আয় করা সম্পর্কে জানতে পারেন ফাহিমুল। তিনি প্রথমে জেনেছিলেন টি-স্প্রিং সম্পর্কে। ভেবেছিলেন মোবাইল দিয়েই কাজ করা যাবে। কয়েক দিনের চেষ্টায় ব্যর্থ হন। একটা কম্পিউটারের প্রয়োজনীয়তা খুব করে অনুভব করেন। বাসায় বলেন। কিন্তু বোঝাতে পারেননি। তা ছাড়া অর্থেরও সংকট ছিল।</div><div style="background-color: white; padding: 0px;">হাল ছাড়েননি ফাহিমুল। তিনি বলেন, ‘পরে একটা গ্রুপে যুক্ত হলাম। নাম ছিল ওডেস্ক বাংলাদেশ (বর্তমানে আপওয়ার্ক বাংলাদেশ)। ওখানে দেখতাম, সবাই অনলাইনে কাজ নিয়ে কথা বলত। আমি সবার পোস্ট, কমেন্ট নিয়মিত পড়তাম। সেখানেরই একটা পোস্ট থেকে ওয়েব ডিজাইনের কথা জানতে পারি। ওখানে কিছু লিংক দেওয়া ছিল। আমি সেগুলো ডাউনলোড করে পড়ে পড়ে এইচটিএমএলটা প্রায় শিখে ফেলি। কিন্তু কিছুদিন পর অধৈর্য লাগছিল। ভাবলাম, এভাবেও সম্ভব না। আমাকে নির্দিষ্ট কোনো কাজ শিখতে হবে। কাজ শিখতে চাই বলে গ্রুপে পোস্ট দিই। গ্রুপের একজন অ্যাডমিন আমার এলাকার একজনের সঙ্গে পরিচয় করিয়ে দেন। তিনি কিছুদিন পর আমার বাসায় এসে আমাকে কাজ সম্পর্কে সঠিক ধারণা দেন। গ্রাফিকস ডিজাইন সম্পর্কেও ধারণা দেন। কিন্তু তখনো আমার কম্পিউটার ছিল না৷’</div><div style="background-color: white; padding: 0px;">পরিচিতদের উদ্যোগ, মায়ের জমানো টাকা ও ব্যাংক থেকে ঋণ দিয়ে ২০১৬ সালের নভেম্বরে একটা ল্যাপটপ কেনেন ফাহিমুল। ল্যাপটপ ব্যবহার আয়ত্তে এলেও নিয়মিত ইন্টারনেট ব্যবহারের আর্থিক সামর্থ্য ছিল না তাঁর। একটা ডিভিডি কিনে গ্রাফিকস ডিজাইন শেখা শুরু করেন তিনি। তারপর নিয়মিত চর্চা। শুরুতে শেখেন ফটোশপ। অন্য দরকারি বিষয়গুলো ইউটিউব দেখে শিখতে থাকেন তিনি। কম টাকায় ইন্টারনেটের অফার পেলে ফ্রিল্যান্স টিউটোরিয়ালের ভিডিও ডাউনলোড করতেন তিনি। শুরুতে বিজনেস কার্ড ও ব্যানার তৈরি শেখেন। এরপর অনলাইন মার্কেটপ্লেস ফাইভার সম্পর্কে জানেন।</div><div style="background-color: white; display: block; float: left; height: 229px; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; min-width: auto !important; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; width: auto !important;" /></span>ফাহিমুল বলেন, ‘ফেসবুকে সার্চ করে ফাইভার হেল্প বাংলাদেশ গ্রুপের খোঁজ পাই। গ্রুপের ডকুমেন্টগুলো পড়ে ২০১৭ সালের ফেব্রুয়ারিতে ফাইভারে গিগ (ফাইভারে প্রতিটি সার্ভিসের অফারকে গিগ বলে) খুলি। গিগ খোলার অল্প দিনের মধ্যেই কাজ পেয়ে যাই। ভাবতেও পারিনি, এত দ্রুত কাজ পেয়ে যাব। আমি কয়েক ঘণ্টার মধ্যেই কাজটা শেষ করি। বায়ার খুশি হয়ে আমাকে ৫ স্টার রিভিউসহ বোনাস দেন। আমার প্রথম উপার্জন ছিল ১৫ মার্কিন ডলার।’</div><div style="background-color: white; padding: 0px;">তারপর ফাহিমুলকে আর ফিরে তাকাতে হয়নি। এক মাসেই তিনি লেভেল ওয়ান সেলার হয়ে যান। তখন প্রচুর কাজ আসতে থাকে। তিনি বলেন, ‘এমনও হয়েছে, কাজের জন্য আমি খাওয়ার সময় পেতাম না। আম্মু হাতে করে খাইয়ে দিয়েছে, আর আমি কাজ করেছি।’</div><div style="background-color: white; padding: 0px;">প্রথম তিন মাসের মধ্যে ফাহিমুল লেভেল টু সেলার হয়ে যান। তাঁর উপার্জন বাংলাদেশি টাকায় প্রায় ৪০ হাজার হয়ে গিয়েছিল। ২০১৭ সালের এপ্রিলে তাঁর বাবার চাকরি চলে যায়। তখনই তিনি প্রথম কাজের টাকা তুলতে পারেন। শুরুতে ৩৭ হাজার টাকা তোলেন। ২০১৭ সালে মাঝামাঝি আপওয়ার্কে অ্যাকাউন্ট খোলেন ফাহিমুল। কয়েক দিন চেষ্টার পর অ্যাকাউন্ট অনুমোদন পায়। আগের অভিজ্ঞতা কাজে লাগিয়ে আপওয়ার্কে দ্রুত কাজ পেয়ে যান। তিন মাসেই আপওয়ার্কের টপ লেভেলের ব্যাজ পেয়ে যান তিনি। এখনো ফাইভারে লেভেল টু ও আপওয়ার্কে টপ রেটেড ব্যাজ ধরে রেখেছেন তিনি। গত দুই বছরে সাড়ে চার শর বেশি প্রজেক্টে কাজ করেছেন ফাহিমুল।</div><div style="background-color: white; padding: 0px;">ফাহিমুলের বাবা রেজাউল করিম জানান, তাঁর ছেলের রোগের বিষয়টি প্রথম ধরা পড়ে ২০০৬ সালে। দেশে বেশ জায়গায় চিকিৎসা করানোর পর ২০০৮ সালে ফাহিমুলকে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয় ভারতের কলকাতায়। সেখানে একটি বেসরকারি হাসপাতালের চিকিৎসকেরা জানান, ফাহিমুল ডুচেনেমাসকিউলার ডিস্থ্রফিতে আক্রান্ত। ধীরে ধীরে তাঁর পেশি দুর্বল হয়ে যাবে। বংশগত রোগটির কোনো স্থায়ী চিকিৎসা নেই। বয়স বাড়ার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে সমস্যা জটিল হতে পারে। সেখান থেকে ফিজিওথেরাপির পরামর্শ ও পুনরায় চিকিৎসার জন্য যেতে বলা হয়। ফাহিমুল অচল হয়ে পড়লে আর্থিক সংকটের কারণে আর ভারতে যাওয়া সম্ভব হয়নি। <br style="margin: 0px;
